In 2015, where to start in mobile app development is still iOS–only adopting Android as the need arises. Experience with our customers has proven that developing on Android remains a limited market in business as the vast majority of our business users prefer iPhone. Another important point is that the cost of developing an app on Android is anywhere from one and a half to two times more than the cost of developing the same app on iOS. This is simply due to the fact that the development tools and libraries on Android don’t measure up to what Apple provides. This makes little to no business sense when you can instead mandate your users use iPhones and iPads instead of Android phones and tablets. The hardware costs are comparable making it a tough sell trying to support an Android user base. In 2015, we still don’t recommend it.
